Role Summary
As the Project & Systems Development Lead, you'll be responsible for planning and executing strategic initiatives, developing internal tools and systems, and driving efficiency across departments. This role blends technical system development with hands-on leadership, collaborating closely with SEO strategists, developers, content teams, and company leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead and manage internal projects from concept to execution (e.g., service launches, process automation, system rollouts).
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget through effective cross-department coordination.
- Conduct regular check-ins, status reporting, and progress updates to maintain alignment and accountability.
Systems & Tool Development
- Analyze operational needs and develop internal tools or workflows to improve productivity and scalability (e.g., reporting dashboards, campaign tracking).
- Implement or customize third-party platforms (e.g., project management tools, CRM systems) to meet team requirements.
- Collaborate with in-house developers to scope and deliver software solutions that support SEO operations.
Process & Workflow Optimization
- Map and refine workflows across SEO, content, and development teams.
- Develop SOPs and automation frameworks to reduce manual workload and minimize human error.
- Monitor system usage and effectiveness, iterating continuously for improvement.
Team Enablement
- Train staff on new tools and systems, ensuring smooth adoption across all teams.
- Serve as the go-to resource for operational troubleshooting and system support.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and tech-enabled growth.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or systems development—ideally in SEO, digital marketing, or tech environments.
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and marketing workflows.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Notion, Trello, Asana, Airtable, HubSpot, or similar.
- Familiarity with internal tool development, automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make), and basic scripting or web system design.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and time management in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in software development, no-code platforms, or business operations.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in an agency or startup setting.
- Data-savvy with the ability to turn insights into operational improvements.
